Top Holiday Events In Boulder
The holidays are about spending time with the ones you love. From tree lightings to holiday concerts, Boulder has activities for the whole family to enjoy throughout the month of December. Here are the top holiday events in Boulder you can’t miss this season.
Take a stroll through Boulder’s Civic Area now through January 28th to see more than 275,000 LED lights on display. The Snow Much Fun – Lights in Central Park turn on every afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and light up the town all evening. After the show, head to local favorites Dushanbe Teahouse or Seeds Café to warm up with seasonal treats and tea!
There’s nothing like the feeling of crisp winter air and the view of Boulder from above. Grab your thermos of hot cocoa and your closest friends to hike some of Colorado’s best state park trails and mountains. New to Pearl Street Mall this year is the first-ever Freezie Fest! On December 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., join the town for a celebration of winter with exciting activities and a live musical performance The holiday fun will continue on at the Civic Area from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. so you and your loved ones can spend the whole day enjoying festivities.
CU Holiday Festival
For 40 years and counting, the CU Presents Program has put on one of Boulder’s most beloved holiday concerts to date. December 7th – 9th, join The College of Music’s choirs, orchestras, ensembles and soloists as they perform their Holiday Festival Shows in the beautifully decorated, historic Macky Auditorium on Colorado University’s campus.
Creekside Caroling and Holiday Walk with a Doc
Join Boulder Community Health and the City of Boulder to walk with a doc and take a step towards better health. On Wednesday, December 19th from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., Dr. Nelson Trujillo will be hosting a cheerful half-mile walk through Boulder’s Civic Area. There will be caroling, and healthy treats and cocoa along the way to demonstrate how easy it is to stay healthy and prevent disease over the holidays.
Holiday Cookie Party
On December 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, head down to the Food Lab for Boulder’s sweetest holiday event! Bring the whole family to decorate sugar cookies, sip cider, and socialize with neighbors this season. They host multiple classes each day, but they fill up quickly!
