The Ultimate Guide to Boulder Arts Week 2018
Boulder Arts Week 2018 celebrates local artists and is a large-scale, inclusive celebration that is a must-see event.
For the fifth year, this event offers art walks, exhibitions, performances, lectures, and more, all celebrating Boulder’s vibrant artistic community.
This year, Boulder Arts Week begins March 30 and ends April 7. Whether you go one evening after work or enjoy an event every day of the week, there is something for everyone. Many of the galleries are free, and some of the events have a small admission fee.
You’ll see more than just paintings
According to the National Endowment for the Arts, Boulder has the third largest concentration of artists in the country. This is more than just the conventional idea of a painter or sculptor. (Although you’ll find them as well.)
When you attend a Boulder Arts Week event, you get to experience the joy and expression that local artists find in their chosen medium. This includes aerial dance, film and video, literature readings, music, and lectures.
These aren’t your typical college lectures
Boulder Arts Week 2018 offers a number of lectures. Don’t worry, they’re going to be an intriguing presentation that will keep you engaged! We’re eyeing up the Featured Presentations from Burning Man and Meow Wolf.
Featuring the Education Director for the Burning Man Project in San Francisco, you’ll hear about their experience and insights into producing art events. The Burning Man Project is the non-profit arm of the Burning Man Festival, which celebrates art of all types.
This is sure to be an insightful look into creating events that attendees love and participants are passionate about.
