Halloween Events and Pumpkin Patches Throughout Boulder

The crisp autumn air is here, the leaves are beginning to change color, and soon the streets will be filled with ghouls and goblins on the hunt for the biggest candy bars and treats. Now is the time to get into the Halloween spirit by carving pumpkins, attending masquerade balls, and feasting on delicious fall food and drinks. To make sure you don’t miss out on any of the October festivities, we’ve made a list of the can’t miss Halloween events and pumpkin patches available throughout Boulder.

Munson Farms

Just five minutes outside the Boulder city limits, Munson Farms is a sprawling pumpkin patch with stunning mountain range views. Search the grounds for the perfect pumpkin, find your way through the spooky corn maze, and shop the farm stand for festive fall decor and food. 

Munson Farms is located at 7355 Valmont Road, Boulder, CO, and is open daily from 9 am to 6:30 pm.

Cottonwood Farms 

Cottonwood Farms may be a bit outside of the Boulder borders, but it’s well worth the 20 minute drive. Grab a complementary red wagon and head out to the fields to find your one of a kind pumpkin. Navigate your way through their 4-acre corn and straw bale mazes, enjoy a hay ride, and say hello to the dozens of animals in the petting zoo.

Cottonwood Farms is located at 10600 Isabelle Road, Lafayette, CO, is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. The farm offers free admission during the week, and charges a $5 entrance fee on the weekends.

Halloween Carnival 

Open to all ages, join the community on Friday, October 25th at the South Boulder Recreation Center for the town’s annual Halloween Carnival. Get ready for games and activities, arts and crafts, face paint, fun prizes, and more at this year’s festivities. 

The doors open at 3 pm. Children under the age of three and adults are free of admission. All other children are $5. Make sure to reserve your spot before it fills up!

Deck the Mall 

On October 26th and 27th, head down to Pearl Street for the Deck the Mall Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair. Get ahead on your holiday shopping with unique, handmade gifts crafted by local artisans. Not only is this event a great way to kick off the holidays, but it also raises funds for the Imagine! Foundation here in Boulder. A non-profit that has been supporting local families with disabilities since 1963.

Exotica Erotica Ball

When you hit adulthood, the trick-or-treating magic of Halloween may be gone, but who says you can’t join in on the fun? The Exotica Erotica Ball is one of Colorado’s longest running adult themed events, and one of the country’s top masquerade parties, and for good reason. 

With live and interactive entertainment, dance floors and DJs, costume contests, and spacious party rooms with views of downtown from across the Boulder Creek, you won’t want to miss this extravagant masquerade party. 

The Exotica Erotica Ball will take place on Saturday, October 26th from 9 pm to 2 am at The Riverside. Head to their website to buy your tickets before they sell out!
