Your Guide to Boulder’s Hidden Gems

Your Guide to Boulder’s Hidden Gems

Even if you’ve lived in Boulder for a few years, we bet you have yet to visit a few of Boulder’s hidden gems. This beautiful city is home to art, science, and dining, which means you’ll definitely be able to find something to enjoy with family and friends. These are also some of the best options when hosting visitors, so they can get a unique Boulder experience.

Il Pastaio

Located a quarter mile from Peloton West, Il Pastaio is locally known as the best Italian restaurant in town. It’s a small, intimate restaurant with authentic, handmade pasta and specialty sauces. While you’ll want an indoor table right now, many diners enjoy the patio seating during spring and summer.

We recommend making a reservation, due to its popularity and size. You won’t be disappointed!

Flagstaff Mountain

A mountain may not necessarily be a “hidden” gem, but we still think Flagstaff Mountain deserves being on this list. Instead of staring up at the mountain each day, we recommend planning a day to explore the many trails it has to offer. This includes a stunning view of Boulder and the surrounding area

Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is perfect for a leisurely meal with friends. You’ll notice the unique building and beautiful interior, which was constructed in Boulder’s sister city, Dushanbe, Tajikistan and reassembled on site.

Featuring exotic flavors from the Central Asian country permeates their food, and we think you’ll love this unique spot as much as we do.

Little Horse Books & Vintage

Little Horse Books & Vintage features not only rare and pre-loved books but also vintage trinkets like LPs, vintage recording and audio equipment. The owners embrace their funky side, and this is a perfect spot to explore, whether you’re looking for something specific or just want to browse.

Little Horse has three locations in Historic Downtown Louisville, which is just outside Boulder. You can also browse their online store, but we definitely recommend making an in-person trip.

One of the best parts of living in Boulder is the array of shops, dining, and activities. Boulder’s hidden gems offer a different kind of fun and one we’re sure you’ll enjoy. Are you ready to experience all that living in downtown Boulder has to offer?
