While there’s always plenty of outdoor activities year-round, spring is when some of the best events in Boulder take place. Here are the spring activities you can’t miss in 2019.
Boulder Arts Week (March 26 – April 6)
The city’s vibrant art culture and creativity come to life during Boulder Arts Week. Through art walks, exhibitions, galleries, live performances, music, readings, and workshops, everyone comes together to highlight all the city’s talented individuals. Learn the Hawaiian hula, try your hand at pottery, or just come and take in all the incredible works of art Boulder has to offer.
Tulip Fairy and Elf Festival (April 8)
Celebrate spring with your little ones! Each year, over 15,000 tulips are planted along Pearl Street as the beloved Tulip Fairy parades around the town to welcome the beginning of spring. The event includes live performances, face painting, costumes, and many more activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Taste of Pearl (April 28)
For all the ‘foodies’, this one’s for you. Taste of Pearl is a culinary event that showcases the states most renowned restaurants and chefs, pairing 15 Boulder restaurants with 15 Colorado wineries to host a tasting for everyone to enjoy. Held in various boutiques and galleries, stroll from one location to the next enjoying samples from all 30 vendors and other fun goodies.
Boulder Creek Festival (May 25-27)
Often considered the official summer kickoff, the Boulder Creek Fest is the perfect way to wrap up the spring season with some old fashioned festival fun. Grab your friends and family and enjoy three days of live performances, carnival rides and activities, food and drinks, and over 500 vendors unique to the Boulder community.
BolderBoulder 10K Race (May 27)
Run, jog, walk, or just come for the entertainment. BolderBoulder is one of the largest 10K races in the world, as well as one of the biggest and best Memorial Day celebrations. Live music, dance performances, cheerleaders and more are there to support you through the race. Once you’re done, sample food and drinks before heading to Folsom Field for the Memorial Day Tribute.
Spring is packed with fun here in Boulder. If you have time between the festivals and the art fairs, we recommend walking around the Boulder Farmers Market, enjoying a hike through the Flatirons and checking out some of our favorite restaurants!
